Humans…monogamists or polygamists?
Who invented the term fidelity, and why do human beings belief in self-imposed fidelity to only one person? Truths and lies about both practices.

A lot of people devote their sexual lives to their partners only, thus they have monogamous relationships. This is an election, and if it is yours, too…then, perfect! But does it really work? We don’t want to destabilize anyone, but it has been proven that 50% of the guys are unfaithful to their girlfriends and wives, whereas only 40% of women are cheats. And that raises the question whether human beings are monogamous by nature or rather by force?
Monogamy is a type relationship that only works when both are entirely committed to the other, which also implies that there aren’t any problems between them. Nevertheless, this commitment can last for a few years, let’s say two, and from there the flesh is weak.
Therefore, the most important thing is to be honest with oneself and, obviously, the other. But that doesn’t mean that a long lasting relationship doesn’t have good things, for instance, you have the opportunity to really get to know the person you are in a relationship with as opposed to a lover. And this knowledge is, of course, the basis of the relationship, the tie that hold the two together, and that you won’t find in a casual lover.
But this lover, on the other hand, can breathe life into the spark in a relationship and show you new ways of loving and love making. And I’m not lying when I say that having a lover can sometimes help to overcome problems within your stable relationship. This temptation can appear in any given moment, but if you give into it, it means that something in your relationship isn’t going that well.
Be careful, having a lover doesn’t mean that the sex will be better than with your steady partner. If you’re really unlucky it could even turn out a real disaster. So of course you have to keep that possibility in mind.
